Designated Breastfeeding Expert Enhancement
Becoming a Local Agency DBE can feel overwhelming. This 2-day virtual program will help you to develop your position as the DBE. Take a deeper dive into those lactation problems you may not have previously encountered. Feel more confident with lactation problems, how and when to refer.
The topics covered delve into lactation research, necessary to understand in the position of a DBE and eventually as an IBCLC. Videos and photographs are used to assist in recognizing lactation concerns. Information presented will be based on evidence-based practice and presented by instructors who have combined WIC and IBCLC level lactation experience.
To qualify for this scholarship:
- You must have completed L1-4 USDA Breastfeeding Curriculum
- Have an active CLS, CLC, or IBCLC credential
Continuing Education: 12.0 L-CERPs; 12.0 RN (6 each day)
This program provides 12 contact hours continuing nursing education, through the State of California Board of Registered Nursing.
Resources: No additional resources will be required for purchase. All printed PowerPoint slides will be provided on the LEC website. Any other materials will be provided on the LEC website for this course.
