Nutrition Assessment and Risk Factor Training

Target Audience Dietitians, Nutritionists, Nurses who hold the title of Certifying Health Professional (CHP) in the WIC Program. Intended for:
  • CHP’s who seek a refresher of WIC Clinic activities such as health & nutrition assessment, risk factor assignment, and offering nutrition education to WIC participants
  • Course Length 1 day
    Class Times 9:30 am - 3:30 pm
    Description To enable the learner to conduct accurate assessments, assign nutrition risk factors correctly and offer appropriate nutrition education and referrals as required by the WIC Program.
    Performance Objectives Upon completion of the course, participants will be able to:
  • Collect accurate and reliable measurements per policy
  • Assess and assign all applicable risk factors per policy
  • Describe what education should be offered related to assigned nutrition risk factors
